Well here’s a review of probably one of the most watched and anticipated and hyped movies this year. The title explains pretty much one part of the plot but also is a double meaning to a big plot umm hole you could say because I used to be a big transformers fan.
The movie itself comes with a couple of good features like commentary, biographies on the Autobots and Decepticons with timelines of how they came to be, deleted scenes. There’s even a feature that has Optimus Prime as a hologram on your computer that shows some pretty cool stuff.
Now for the story. The plot is pretty easy to get from the beginning of it, the Decepticons are trying to rise back again but also the true leader of the Decepticons called The Fallen. Yea for some reason they created someone who has more control than Megatron which is really wierd. But all the Autobots return, except for Jazz, and new ones arrive like RC, Sideswipe, and two other motorcycle robots. There are of course new Decepticons like the dog one and the giant one you see in the commercials while four return which are Scorpinox, Megatron, Starscream, and the helicopter guy.
Now I gotta rant about things so here. I think there were to many slow-mo scenes. Like there’s one where Meagan Fox is right in the shot with a helicopter above her and it’s just slow-mo of her looking in the camera which seems unneeded. Then there’s a fight where Optimus jumps through a roof to Megatron and Starscream in slow motion and five seconds afterwards he shoots his gun at Megatron in slow motion. Then there was the teleportation thing that The Fallen and Jetfire use (he’s a Decepticon and freakin old!). This never seemed possible at how they did it. Then there’s some of the one liners like (spoiler alert!) “I rise, you fall.” it sounds very corny even coming from Optimuses voice. Now the movie did have a lot of funny parts to it like when Sam’s mom eats a bag of weed or when the little truck guy starts humping Meagan.
All in all the movie is pretty good and if I had to give it a rating it would be 4 out of 5 and is a definite rent and if you really love Transformers probably a buy.
