PinBall FX 2, I would imagine is fun no matter what tables you choose to buy. It has been one of the only games on the Marketplace that has a timed demo that I would buy after being cut off during the demo. While playing the demo in the whole 2 minutes they give you the only impression you get is that it’s loads of fun. Well, that impression is ever lasting after the demo as well.
In the Marvel table set you get Wolverine, Iron Man, Spiderman and Blade tables. They are all very well put together tables and can provide hours of fun per table depending on your interest in Pinball. Each table is fun because of the themed elements that come to life as you play through the game. On the blade table it may become dark and on the Iron Man table you may have Whiplash cracking his whips in and out. As cool as all this sounds it can also be distracting and cause you to lose your ball. Those were problems I had when I first started playing, but noticed after getting use to the physics and the way things move on the tables you almost forget anything else is going on.
Zen Studios have put in a great interactive leader boards that not only cover the table you happen to be playing, but also gives you score through out all tables you may have been playing in PinBall FX 2. It will directly compare you to any of your friends who have played the game and almost puts you in direct competition almost anytime you play. The four tables you get in the Marvel Table pack each have 3 achievement s attached to them and with enough practice and skill can be obtained in little time. The game also supports Avatar Awards that you will achieve my gaining good positions on the leader boards.
Even though I have yet to try any of the other tables I’m sure that they are going to be just as good as the Marvel Tables. They are in my opinion a little high priced at 800MS points, but overall the replay value will be decent enough for the steep price to redeem itself in the end.
