june vs. Speed: E3 – Part 1

The most anticipated game event of the year.  So why the complaints?

Whatever your opinion of E3 is you can’t escape the fact that it is the biggest game event of the year.  It may be followed very close by The Tokyo Game Show but by far not out done.  All I have heard is people complain about E3 and yet people are so eager to see what the newest announcements are.

I don’t understand how people can want the gaming world to grow but get upset when something becomes so big.  If you break down E3 you still get the same information today that you got 5 years ago.  So whats the problem with the event.  Is it because it’s so main stream now?  News flash everything that has to do with gaming is main stream now.

The fact of the matter is that E3 sets up what products will be bought for the rest of the year.  Ask yourself what the problem is that you have with the event.  Is it that it’s closed to the public?  Is it all the main stream advertisement?  Do you think Nintendo has to much of a hand in it?  It does not matter what you don’t like about E3.  All that matters is we need it.
