Junegore's Goodtime Movie Blog

Not only do I love games, I love movies as well. This is a gaming site sure, but I know there has to be some movie buffs here as well. So I am going to make a weekly blog where I will talk about a new movie as well as an old one. In the premiere of this blog I am going to talk about cinema in general.

I have been a movie buff for as long as I have been a gamer. I enjoy just about all types of films and even if I hate the genre I will still give it a watch. Thinking back over all the years I can’t think of a better time for the movie industry than 1996 through 1999. Some of the best movies that we all love today where made in those years.

So now I wonder what happened. It seems any more that movies that go into the theaters are just rushed to be made and rushed out on dvd. I understand that there are a lot of things going against the industry these days. You have pirating and the fact that with Blu-Ray it’s so easy to just put it out for mass consumption. The thing that bothers me is loving movies is also loving the experience. Then again it’s hard to love something that sucks so much.

What I mean by that is why does everything have to have a sequel or a prequel? Why can’t a damn good story just be a damn good story? I’m sure everyone has seen 300. It’s a great groundbreaking movie. So I guess that’s why they are talking about a prequel for it…..GIVE ME A BREAK!!!! Another problem is comic movies. As much as I love them I think it’s gonna be o.k. to make a different kind of movie for a while. You know what the biggest problem with movies are these days? WE ARE!!! In a sense anyway.

We tell the movie company what we want to see and they half-way listen to us then they make it. One of the best movies ever made in cinema history was The Wizard of Oz. I don’t think that there was a line of people on forums then telling the production company what to do. So why is there now? Just because we can do that doesn’t mean we should. The worst part about it is the people saying what they want to see get what they want. Then thay are the first one to complain about it.

You know Junegore’s Goodtime Movie Blog may not be a good title for the first one of these because it doesn’t really have a ‘goodtime’ feel. It’s just the way I feel. The rest of these posts will be more plus and negative but we had to have a starting point right? I look forward to hearing from everyone about this new feature on the blog.

I agree with everything in this post. We are the problem with movies today. People whine and complainsaying do this and that to make me happy. Then when it comes out the whine because it sucked.

Make up your mind people. Good or bad it’s just a movie no matter if it’s bad like Ang Lee’s Hulk or the exact oposite in The Dark Knight. They are just movies people!

Don’t start a war over something that is as simple as a movie. Everyone is entitled to what they say but don’t go crazy over a bad movie and in the end you mailed the studios saying what you wanted they did it and it still sucked. Buy the ticket, the popcorn, drink, and then enjoy.

See that was simple. B-dar out.
