Hope For Jena Needs Your Support

This weekend jggh Games has taken the opportunity to do something that will hopefully make a difference in someones life. Hope For Jena, is a charity that will benefit Rebel Gaming‘s Stephanie Vivian’s sister Jena Aird-Spach, who was diagnosed with AML (Acute Myelogenous Leukemia) in 2009. Here is a bit more information about the event.

Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) is a fast-growing cancer of the blood and bone marrow. In AML, the bone marrow makes many unformed cells called blasts. Blasts normally develop into white blood cells that fight infection. However, the blasts are abnormal in AML. They do not develop and cannot fight infections. The bone marrow may also make abnormal red blood cells and platelets. The number of abnormal cells (or leukemia cells) grows quickly. They crowd out the normal red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets the body needs.

On October 25th, 2010 Jena received a bone marrow transplant. It is unfortunate her body did not respond well to it, and it failed. Soon after her Dr.s told her that more chemo could be deadly to her, as possibly another bone marrow transplant at this time. Jena is maintaining her leukemia with medications currently, and we are hopeful that we can seek out alternative medicine.

This 2 day fund raiser will be held on ebay and live on ebay and live on www.justin.tv/rebgaming.

Items will be auctioned off and raffled off for 2 days, and we will even have live gaming lobbies where our hosts will be giving away prizes, just for you joining and helping promote and support the event!

We are happy to be a part of this event and I truly hope that all of you who read this will try and do what you can for an amazing worth while cause. Be sure to keep check on Rebel Gaming on Twitter for up to date information.
