This will be my last post through the holidays. I have a very busy schedule in the coming days.
I work in the retail business. On top of that I work in toys. So with that being said, I have a very busy work schedule ahead of me. Also my son’s Birthday is in 6 days. I don’t know how many of you have kids but trying to organize a Birthday party is like a nightmare. Four days after his Birthday is Christmas then of course New Years’ right after that. Needless to say I’m a very busy man. On top of all these things I’m still trying to game and make some final changes on the site before the end of the year. Those changes and gaming events are what I’m getting ready to cover.
I have spent most of the day today trying to breathe some life back into the wiki.  I, myself think that the word ‘wiki’ may scare some people off so I am in the midst of making the wiki into ‘jggh Voice’. It is being used as a place for our members to tell everyone about game tips, hints and strategies. To this point Chainer is the only person that has contributed to the feature. I hope with the changes I am making that will change. When ‘jggh Voice’ is up and running you will see a tab at the top of this page that will take you into the program. As for the program it’s up and running now just not complete. You can contribute and visit to assist in your gaming needs. Basically it just needs some cosmetic things done. Now on to game things.
December 22 marks the date of the release of the Fable 2 DLC. Details can be found in the forums for all the content. Can’t wait to see what Lionhead has in store for us now. Xbox has really rained the holiday cheer down on us this year with the release of a free premium theme that has some holiday cheer to it. Also they have an interactive snow globe that is a nice little Holiday edition the the NXE. Gears of War 2 map pack was released last night at midnight for all to download. I’m still waiting for some feed back on how it is. Also for the holidays, Xbox has a promotion going on for silver members. If you’re a silver member you can play select arcade games for free. The promotion is called ‘Friendship is Free‘ . Kind of a weak name but oh well.
On the Sony side of things it looks like Home finally got release on December 11th. After some time in Home, to be honest I’m not impressed.  I will be buying us a jggh Clubhouse in the Home program.  It could have great potential to help the site grow. Maybe after the holidays and after I purchase the Clubhouse I will be back with a more positive opinion on Home. Sony doesn’t really have a whole lot to talk about this holiday with the exception of Home. Either way Home is worth giving Sony a nod.
On the Wii side of things not much to talk about there either. I can tell you that I will be getting a Wii. So maybe after the Holidays I can start giving some feedback where the wii is concerned.
Well, that’s about all for the rest of the year. It seems kind of short to be all the news for the rest of this year. It’s just that’s all that is news-worthy. Although on a side note congrats to all the winners of the VGA’s. GTA4 walked away with Game of the Year and Burnout:Paradise got racing game of the year. So anyway, I hope you all have a great Holiday and a great New Year. Thanks from the bottom of my heart for being a part of the jggh family and I will see you all after the first of the year. So until then come in, be social, have fun and game. Welcome to the Hour!!
