Arcade Next Starts April 18

Starting on April 18 Microsoft will begin a new promotion titled Arcade Next. It will feature some of the more anticipated games of the year for XBLA. Increasing gamerscore to be had from 200 to 400 and also a slight price increase as Minecraft will be the first XBLA game to cost 1600 points. You can read a description of all the games below starting with Trails Evolution releasing on April 18.

Multiplayer comes alive in your living room or on Xbox LIVE. Build your own tracks with the in-game editor or download those of any other player from the new Track Central. Customize your bike and rider with awesome gear and unique parts, enjoy innovative skill games, try ghost racing, beat your friends’ scores and more!

BloodforgeIt is an ancient world of myth and legend. Powerful gods rule and vicious tribes swear allegiance to them. One warrior stands free: Crom. He has given up battle in favor of his family. The gods brutally decide to drag him back in to their fight, leaving Crom with only one option: Revenge.

Fable Heroes“Fable Heroes” is an action-packed hack-and-slash adventure set in the “Fable” universe and will launch this spring on Xbox LIVE Arcade. It offers a fresh spin on the “Fable” franchise, taking playful competition to the next level with four player co-op, time trials and leaderboards on Xbox LIVE. In “Fable Heroes” players work together to defeat enemies while also competing with each other to collect gold coins, which will level up their character and unlock unique items in “Fable: The Journey” when it launches later this year.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 EditionThe infinite possibilities in “Minecraft” just got bigger. Coming to Xbox LIVE Arcade on May 9, 2012, “Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition” will bring the global phenomenon to console gamers for the first time. The Xbox LIVE Arcade version of the game features an innovative new crafting interface, natural controller movements, a full Tutorial mode to teach the basics and for the first time in “Minecraft,” split-screen multiplayer as well as over Xbox LIVE.
