Ubisoft Unveils E3 Lineup and Their Vague 25th Anniversary Plans.

Today, Ubisoft revealed their E3 plans, and it all kicks off with a press-only conference on June 6th at 2:30pm, just before E3 begins. At this event, all the invited will: be “treated to never-before-seen demonstrations of Ubisoft’s fiscal year 2012 line-up and exclusive new announcements”. Following the conference, both fans and press will be able to play some of these titles at the Ubisoft booth throughout the duration of E3.

Ubisoft are also celebrating their 25th anniversary this year, and their plans are fairly vague at the moment, but they sound very promising. They are celebrating by: “delivering our strongest and most diverse brand portfolio to date, with titles spanning all major genres and platforms”, although it doesn’t mention any particular games, it does sound very interesting.

However Ubisoft do mention specifics on their E3 plans, mentioning each game they will be displaying, excluding any unannounced titles. Some of the titles that caught my eye are: Assassin’s Creed: Revelations, Call of Juarez: The Cartel, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, The Adventures of Tintin, From Dust, as well as some lesser known titles.

During the course of the event: “Ubisoft will host an exclusive Rocksmith-branded tour bus outside of the Los Angeles Convention Center. Located in the concourse walkway between the West and South Halls, consumers can hop on the bus to demo the revolutionary new music experience that is the first and only game that plugs into any real guitar.” This is quite intriguing, the last game to call a music experience “revolutionary” was Power Gig, which also features “real guitars”, and we all know how well that turned out… I wonder if Ubisoft can pull it off.

Finally, Ubisoft will stream their events at UPlay, featuring key elements of their booths, as well as exclusive interviews and trailers. With all these live streams going on, I’m spoilt for choice!
