Casting A Shadow

The score 43 to 47 with a little under a minute left in a game that ends at 50. The game is Team Duels on Boundless in Halo 3. You get spawned next to the over shield and as you go for it BAM! It happens. You get betrayed by your team mate. Sure it has. Now, you may disagree, but think about this. No matter what game you play rather it be Halo 3 or any other co-op game this has happened to you.

The reason it happens is because no matter how you look at it the person doing the crime is only doing it because they are better than you. Well, that’s what they think anyway. Example:When I played Burnout:Paradise regularly I can’t count the amount of time that I would wreck a team mate because I had a better chance of taking someone down than they did. That leads to a whole other point. Are we all guilty of it? Probably. That don’t make it right though. The above situation with Halo 3 happened to me recently. I can tell you hat it really just spoiled my whole night.

Not just because I was betrayed by someone who thought they where better. truth be known, they are better than me. The fact is this was a guy in a party of friends with me. Also, we where playing Social Slayer just to have some fun. So it made me think, everybody’s good at something. When your good at something other people who play with you don’t tend to do as well as you. That’s OK because if your good at something you should really remember what kind of shadow you cast. You should also remember that there are games that you are not as good at and will never be as long as people treat you the way you treat others.

The next time you load up your favorite game and start to play you could effect the other people you play with and their game experience. I really think that sometimes people for get that some people just like to play for fun or to pass the time. Then again if your good your good. Right?
